LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - 20th Century Fox has
paid a low-six figure advance for Mark Legan and Mark Wilding's
pitch "Family Time," a family time-travel adventure similar in
tone to "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids."
Legan and Wilding have generated buzz for their spec comedy
pilot "The Cell," which revolves around a group of terrorists
in Chicago who fall in love with the American dream and then
have to face the wrath of their boss because they've done such
a poor job as terrorists.
LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Columbia Pictures has
acquired "Dukes of Hazzard" scribe Jonathan Davis' baseball
comedy pitch "Unsportsmanlike Conduct," an adult version of
"The Bad News Bears."
The story chronicles what happens when a major league
expansion team hires a statistician to assemble the league's
best available players. But that numbers-only strategy leaves
the team with all of the league's head cases.
