MEXICO CITY (Reuters) - Mexico's left-wing presidential candidate Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador wants every single vote recounted as he challenges results showing him losing a tight election, an aide said on Tuesday.
"We propose that all of them are counted, all the votes from the beginning. With such a close result, counting just part of the votes could cast a shadow of doubt," said Horacio Duarte, the leftist Party of the Democratic Revolution's representative to Mexico's election authority.
"It is better to take a couple more days so there is certainty in the country rather than have months of uncertainty," he told Reuters.
