Raul Castro receives Hugo Chavez in Cuba

HAVANA (Reuters) – Acting Cuban President Raul Castro
appeared in public for the first time on Sunday, receiving
Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, Cuban state television images
showed.
Chavez arrived in Havana to visit his political ally Fidel
Castro on his 80th birthday. The Cuban leader relinquished
power to his younger brother Raul on July 31 due to stomach
surgery.
