NEW YORK (Reuters) - Trains between New York and New Jersey were suspended after a suspicious object was found outside the entrance to the Hudson River tunnel, a spokeswoman for New Jersey Transit said on Tuesday.
"We have suspended train services into and out of Penn Station New York and Newark and also Midtown direct trains are going into Hoboken," she said.
A transport source said the object appeared to be a 10-gallon (45.5-litres) drum.
