Trilogy Health Services. LLC has begun construction on a new health campus in Bellevue, Ohio. The main campus will include 45,600 square feet and provide 50 skilled nursing accommodations, 40 assisted living units, and 24 villas surrounding the main building. Completion is scheduled for February 2008, and occupancy will begin at that time.
“[The nearness of The Bellevue Hospital] makes it convenient for our residents and their families,” stated Rhonda SandersSimmonds, vice president of customer service, Trilogy Health Services. “The hospital approached us, and it worked out to be a nice piece of property and a great location. It will provide a full continuum of care… If [a resident] needs a certain type of testing, it is ‘right there [at the hospital].”
The new $8 million facility will promote an active lifestyle, according to Trilogy. Staff will be available to provide assistance with day-to-day tasks such as bathing, dressing and grooming, and medication administration by licensed nurses. Services include meals in the dining room, guest meals, Medicare / insurance consultation, registered dietician consultation, a beauty / barber salon, and on- campus care from a podiatrist, optometrist, and physical, occupational, and speech therapist.
Additionally, the monthly fee will cover repair, maintenance, or replacement of the interior and exterior of the building; trash pick- up; lawn care and snow removal; exterior window washing; use of all grounds and common areas of the health campus; social and recreational opportunities; wellness services provided by licensed nurses; 24-hour security assistance; site lighting; property management services; priority status for assisted living and health center; bimonthly housekeeping; scheduled medical transportation; morning well-being checks; all utilities (not including phone and cable); and an attached garage with a remote.
According to Sanders-Simmonds, The Douglas Company has worked on several Trilogy facilities, and it will be the general contractor for the Bellevue project.
The Bellevue facility will feature the basic floor plan of Trilogy’s existing facilities with some enhancements. “The facility in Bellevue will be designed to have an upgraded and enhanced health center to have more common areas. It has a town center,” she stated. “We also decreased the nurses’ station so it isn’t so prominent. There is a nurses’ station located down each of the hallways.”
Once completed and at capacity, the Bellevue health center will employ approximately 80 to 85 full and part-time personnel.
In April, Trilogy Health Services opened its tenth Ohio health campus in Springfield. Forest Glen Health Campus represents Trilogy’s 42nd company-wide property.
“Our compassion and commitment to [providing] highly personalized customer services … in an elegant environment allow Trilogy residents to enjoy a high quality of life,” stated Randall Bufford, founder and CEO of Trilogy.
Trilogy Health Services is a Louisville. Kentuckybased company. It employs more than 4,700 people and operates 42 senior living communities in Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan, and Indiana with a combined resident capacity of more than 3,500. According to the company, it offers a range of personalized senior living services including assisted living, independent living, skilled nursing, and rehabilitative services and care for individuals with Alzheimer’s and other forms of memory loss.
According to Trilogy, it experienced significant growth in 2006 with the addition of 1,195 beds through the development of new senior healthcare campuses as well as acquisitions of facilities. By the first quarter of 2008, the company expects to have 50 facilities and 5,200 beds in operation throughout the Midwest.
Our continued growth has been possible because of our 4,500 associates that have embraced our compassionate mission to achieve service excellence for our residents and their families each and every day,” added Bufford. “Our full campus continuum fills an important need for seniors who want to be able to receive the appropriate level of healthcare services in one location. The combination of service excellence and consumer choice has been very well received in our markets, and we look forward to continued growth in 2007 and beyond.”
