Office of Aging Seeking Holiday Donations of Food, Funds
The Lancaster County Office of Aging is in need of food and monetary donations for its annual “Holiday Program”.
Each year the Office of Aging provides a limited number of food boxes and gifts to needy clients. To fill these holiday boxes, the Office of Aging depends on contributions from the public.
Donations may include nonperishable food items, such as low salt and low sugar canned goods and packaged items. Other gifts, such as toiletries, blankets, gloves and scarves will also be accepted.
Monetary donations in the form of checks should be made payable to Lancaster County Office of Aging. This money is used to purchase additional items needed to adequately fill each box, and used for clients’ emergency needs throughout the year.
Donations can be delivered to the agency’s office located at 150 N. Queen St. Designated hours for accepting donations is from Monday, Nov. 29, through Friday, Dec. 3, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Please use the drive up area of the West Chestnut Street side of the building so that agency staff can assist you with your donations.
Anyone who is unable to deliver their donation during this time may call Betty Sementelli or Bev Via at 299-7979 to arrange an alternate time or date.
