Doctors Care Opens New James Island Center

JAMES ISLAND, S.C. /PRNewswire/ — Doctors Care is pleased to announce the opening of its tenth healthcare center in the Lowcountry, located at 743 Folly Rd, on James Island. The new center opened on July 16, 2007.

Dr. Richard Rhodes, the Lowcountry Regional Medical Director for Doctors Care stated, “Like the Doctors Care center opened in Summerville earlier this year, it is designed to provide convenient urgent care, family care and occupational medicine, with or without an appointment. The staff includes two board-certified physicians and a physician assistant. Features include a trauma room, x-ray equipment and an on-site lab, as well as equipment for breath alcohol testing and drug screenings.”

The new James Island location will be open from 8 am to 8 pm, Monday through Friday and from 9 am to 5 pm Saturday and Sunday. Services include routine check-ups, care for minor emergencies, and family health services including vaccinations and primary care.
