PHILADELPHIA, July 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Community Specialty Pharmacy Network (CSPN) announced today a formal partnership with Managed Healthcare Associates (MHA).
Ed Dillon, President of CSPN commented: "We are very pleased with the board's decision to partner with MHA to establish a new definition of "Specialty Class of Trade". Our goal is to provide the best optimal, cost effective patient care that will have a positive impact on our patient's lives. A "specialty patient" should be defined by the level of care they receive with compliance, adherence, and proven data outcomes no matter who provides the service: Retail, LTC, or Mail Order. This is a significant milestone for both companies. CSPN will offer its members new opportunities with this GPO offering and MHA will have immediate access to a community based pharmacy network.
Michael Sicilian, President of Specialty for MHA stated, "We realize Specialty Pharmacy is a new Class of Trade and the value proposition is related to the ability to collect unique data sets. We are extremely excited about this new relationship which integrates MHA's specialty pharmacy initiatives with our network management services."
