Two-Thirds of America’s Best Hospitals Rely on Amcom Software for Mission-Critical Communications
Amcom Software, a provider of mission-critical communication software for hospitals, today announced that 12 out of 18 hospitals listed in the 2007 U.S. News and World Report’s “Honor Roll” use one or more software solutions developed by Amcom Software to automate and streamline mission-critical communication processes. These findings are based on the recently released rankings included in the annual “Best Hospitals Report” published by U.S. News & World Report.
The study assessed data from 5,462 hospitals across the country in 16 specialties from cancer to pediatrics. The “Honor Roll” is limited to hospitals ranking high in at least six of the specialties and demonstrating unusual excellence. Out of 173 hospitals included in the rankings, only 18 qualified for the prestigious “Honor Roll” ranking (source: http://health.usnews.com/usnews/health/best-hospitals/honorroll.htm).
“We believe it’s no coincidence that the best hospitals rank high in many areas including technology and communication excellence,” said Chris Heim, CEO of Amcom Software. “We applaud these organizations for their commitment to quality care and patient safety.”
