Leanne Hunstock Joins Community Catalysts of California Board

Community Catalysts of California, a nonprofit agency that serves individuals with developmental and other disabilities, announced today the election of Leanne Hunstock, R.N. to the Community Catalysts of California board of directors.

"Community Catalysts' board members are tremendously dedicated to fulfilling our mission of changing lives and changing communities through their knowledge, talents and service to our consumers and employees," said Jim Jenkins, President and CEO of Community Catalysts. "After spending multiple years overseeing nursing and patient care operations, Leanne will add a unique perspective on the healthcare industry to our board operations."

With more than 30 years nursing and management experience, Hunstock has worked and consulted at various hospitals and healthcare facilities throughout Southern California. For the past seven years, she has been with Scripps Mercy Hospital, San Diego County's largest and longest established hospital, most recently as its Vice President, Chief Operations Executive. It is also one of the 10 largest hospitals in the state and a leading teaching hospital, with one of the country's top non-university graduate medical education programs.

Hunstock received B.S. and M.B.A. degrees from the University of Phoenix and an M.A. in education and counseling from Northern Arizona University. She is active in several professional organizations, including the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), Sigma Theta Tau (Zeta Mu Chapter) Honor Society of Nursing, the American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE) and the Association of California Nurse Leaders (ACNL).

Community Catalysts of California is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) public benefit corporation that has offices throughout California and serves over 1,000 individuals with developmental and other disabilities.
