Local boy appears on Broadway:
Michael Wolfgang of Wellsville appeared in lights on Broadway Sept. 26 as part of National Down Syndrome Society's video production to demonstrate that people with Down syndrome can be successfully included in community activities, education and employment
. The photo of Michael, who has Down syndrome, was selected from 2,000 entries in the NDSS nationwide call for photos. Michael, a student at Dover Elementary School, is pictured with his cousin, Jessica Gotwalt, by the ocean in Nags Head, N.C. The Times Square video production kicked off National Down Syndrome Awareness Month, which included the 2004 Buddy Walk.Source: York Daily Record
