Statement: 'Our Nation's Health Care System is in a State of Crisis.'

CHICAGO, July 31 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The following statement was issued by the RainbowPUSH Coalition:
"Our nation's health care system is in a state of crisis. Everyone, particularly those most vulnerable -- children and seniors -- deserve comprehensive health care. I am reminded of that fact as we struggle with funding important health care programs that they rely upon, such as the State Children's Health Insurance Program and Medicare Advantage.
Covering America's uninsured children is a worthy and moral obligation. Providing quality and affordable health care options to their grandparents is equally worthy and moral. As Dr. Martin Luther King said many years ago: 'Of all the forms of inequality, injustice in health care is the most shocking and inhumane.'
I am confident that we can find a way to rise to Dr. King's challenge and create a health care system that meets all the needs of our nation's families."
