Bloomington Medical Community Partners With HealthBridge and Axolotl for Health Information Exchange Solution

Bloomington Hospital and the physician community in Southern Indiana announced today the selection of HealthBridge and Axolotl for the deployment of the most advanced health information exchange solution. Bloomington Hospital will be utilizing Axolotl's Elysium hybrid federated solution to improve quality of care throughout the community -- allowing providers to access laboratory reports and radiology reports from any secure web connection. Bloomington Hospital is a founding partner of the E-Health Collaborative (formerly BEHC), and strives to provide community participants with advanced health information technology through the deployment of Elysium.
To select and implement a hybrid federated technology that best suits Bloomington Hospital and physician teams, the committee thoroughly reviewed options before selecting Axolotl's Elysium solution and HealthBridge, one of the nation's largest and most established Health Information Exchanges (HIE). The organizations' proven track record of physician and client satisfaction, secure hosting and collaborative atmosphere will help assure successful implementation of Elysium. HealthBridge and Axolotl have contracted with Bloomington Hospital to provide technical support, usage reports, consulting, and process implementation assistance.
