MONTREAL (CP) - Quebec police searching for a missing nine-year-old girl are hoping to piece together a description of a suspect from several other local children.
Cedrika Provencher was last seen on Tuesday searching for a dog near her home in Trois-Rivieres, Que., about 140 kilometres northeast of Montreal.
Now police say as many as three other girls may have been approached by a man asking for help in finding his lost black and white dog.
Authorities so far have only a vague description of the man, saying he is white and between the ages of 30 and 60.
A team of about 30 police officers is looking into some 500 tips from the public.
The girl's father, Martin Provencher, once again urged volunteers today to keep searching for his daughter.
