Posted on: Thursday, 9 August 2007, 09:02 CDT
DAL International Ltd., (PINKSHEETS: DALN) announces today that its Medical Travel International Division will officially start offering the Balloon Weight Loss procedure to clients starting September 1, 2007.
Part of this launch will include a new BalloonWeightLoss.com informational website. Parties that are interested in getting more details about the Balloon Weight Loss Procedure can contact a MTI medical travel consultant at 800.501.0024.
The balloon weight loss procedure does not require an incision and is an outpatient procedure that takes on average 20 minutes to 1 hour to perform. The effectiveness of the balloon weight loss was evidenced at The 11th World Congress on Obesity Surgery held in Sydney, Australia in June of 2006, where published research abstracts verified the average weight loss was 70 pounds in six to eight months. This procedure has been proven safe and effective in international markets but is not yet FDA approved.
Medical Travel International provides its clients with access to international facilities that can perform this procedure at a fraction of the cost of gastric bypass and banding as well as provide after care medical support from its Network of U.S. Physicians. Trained medical travel consultants are available to walk the clients through the whole process.
CEO, Dr. Leatherman said the following, "We are excited to be able to offer the gastric balloon weight loss procedure. The balloon procedure has been proven safe, effective and affordable and does not require any incision like banding or gastric bypass. We believe this procedure offers real hope to the 127 million adult Americans that are overweight while offering them a proven and very powerful tool to retake control of their life. On average people lose up to 70 pounds within six months with the Balloon."
