"LYNX E/Point will help streamline workflows in our Emergency Department," said Teresa Provost, director of Revenue Management at Floyd. "This will allow our care givers more time to provide the best health care possible to our patients. Plus, E/Point will help standardize and improve accuracies in patient facility charging."
LYNX E/Point ED outpatient facility charging application will assist Floyd ED staff to record services and resources used during patient visits. The software employs LYNX proprietary ED Outpatient Facility Charging Algorithm, which produces a visit level distribution that accurately reflects patient acuity mix and resource utilization in the ED. E/Point automatically calculates the visit level for consistent, compliant and complete E/M charge assignment. Once completed, charges are extracted to the hospital financial system. Floyd will also have access to financial and clinical data to better manage ED operations and patient care.
Founded in 1942 in Rome, Georgia, Floyd Medical Center is a 304-bed, not-for-profit teaching hospital providing a full range of ancillary services in the Coosa Valley region. With a staff of more than 2,000, Floyd includes a state-designated Level II Trauma Center, behavioral health center, primary care and an urgent care network of providers.
