FESTIVAL: The Stevens Fire Company will hold the first of three food and fun festivals on Saturday, Aug. 11, on the carnival grounds in Stevens.

Food and refreshments will be served starting at 4 p.m., bingo will begin at 6 p.m., and Midlife Mitch & The Mood Swings will perform at 7, 8:30 and 10 p.m. The event will be held rain or shine.

Admission is $4 per person, free for children under 12.

FIBROMYALGIA: The Lancaster/Rothsville Fibromyalgia Awareness and Education Group, sponsored by the Arthritis Foundation, will meet from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 13, at Rothsville Medical Center, 2320 Rothsville Road.

Anyone with fibromyalgia, their family and friends are welcome.

MEMORY LOSS: The Memory Loss Support Group will meet from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 13, in the third-floor conference room of Lancaster General Health Campus, 2100 Harrisburg Pike.

The topic will be diagnosing dementia.

WALKING: The Early Birds, Ephrata Community Hospital’s walking club for seniors, will meet for a walk at 7 a.m. Monday, Aug. 13, at the hospital, 169 Martin Ave., Ephrata.

Breakfast and a speaker will follow at 8 a.m.

New members should contact their physician and the Wellness Center before coming out to walk. Membership costs $25 per year. For more information, call 336-6578.

GARDEN: The Men’s Garden Club of Lancaster will meet for its annual corn roast and auction at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 13, at Neffsville Park, Neffsville.

HISTORICAL SOCIETY: The Maytown Historical Society will sponsor a “field trip” to visit its counterparts at the Conestoga Area Historical Society, 51 Kendig Road, Conestoga, on Tuesday, Aug. 14.

The Maytown group will depart from from St. John’s Lutheran Church in Maytown at 12:15 p.m.

The Maytown Historical Society also is selling tickets for its autumn house tour. The tour will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29. For tickets or more information, call 426-2073.
