GILBERT, Ariz., Aug. 22 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Gilbert Hospital has benchmarked a customer quality assurance program to ensure accuracy and accountability in the way patients are transferred from its hospital to other receiving facilities.
The quality assurance program at Gilbert Hospital (dubbed the Consumer Affairs Division) is the first in the State of Arizona. The program collects data and allows for action plans to be implemented to improve the communication process relating to patient transfers. Critical data is reviewed daily and recommendations are developed to provide quick and accurate feedback.
"The primary goal of the Consumer Affairs Division at Gilbert Hospital is to assist us in achieving our customer service goals. Customer care and quality doesn't stop once a patient departs Gilbert Hospital," said Consumer Affairs Director Frank Frassetto III. "It's imperative that we [Gilbert Hospital] meet the desired outcome expected from our partner hospital and our customers. That's what this program is all about."
Gilbert Hospital, based on its unique model, transfers more patients to other facilities than any other hospital in the Valley. So far this year, Gilbert Hospital has transferred more than 2,000 patients to other healthcare facilities throughout the Valley.
