RedBrick Health and Beryl Create Nation's First Independent Advocates for Consumer-Owned Health
Posted on: Tuesday, 4 September 2007, 09:09 CDT
MINNEAPOLIS, Sept. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- RedBrick Health announced today that it is partnering with The Beryl Companies to create the industry's first call center dedicated to consumer-owned health.
Through this call center, consumers will receive objective information from independent advocates about how best to navigate the health care system and health and well-being services and programs offered by RedBrick Health. This service is specifically designed to help them achieve and maintain better health while saving money. The ultimate goal of independent advocacy and the consumer-owned health initiative is to make it easy for consumers to take greater responsibility over their health and health care expenses.
RedBrick Health is the nation's first company to integrate the three components necessary to create true consumer ownership in health -- responsible financing of health care, personalized health and well-being programs, and independent advocacy. By working with RedBrick Health, employers gain financial predictability as well as healthier, more productive employees.
RedBrick Health entered into this agreement with Beryl because of their vast experience in the health care space, which is built on a unique and innovative call center approach driven by a culture of unbiased service. The elevated level of advocacy provided by Beryl will support a broad array of topics including personalized health maps, incentives for healthy behavior, health plan comparison tools, and general health care questions.
"Today's consumers are navigating their way through the health care system without a roadmap and without the motivation to change. We're here to help guide and support them along the path that maximizes the value of their health," said Kyle Rolfing, CEO of RedBrick Health.
"RedBrick Health is an innovative idea that offers a triple win for employers, consumers, and the health care system," said Beryl CEO Paul Spiegelman. "We are excited to be on the leading edge of this new approach to consumerism in health."
