Greer Adds New Senior Research Scientist to Its Source Materials Division

Greer, a leading developer and provider of allergy immunotherapy products and allergenic source materials, is pleased to announce the addition of Rosa Codina , Ph.D., as a Senior Research scientist in its Source Materials division. Dr. Codina's responsibilities will include overseeing scientific research and providing technical support to customers. Greer's Source Materials unit is a global leader in providing companies with allergenic materials to help them successfully meet their project and research needs. These products range from pollens and molds, to others that are more rare or complex.

Prior to joining Greer, Dr. Codina was the principal scientist at SDII-Global Corporation in Tampa, Fla., and also served as an Affiliate Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine, Division of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, at the University of South Florida. Dr. Codina is a widely published author and from 1994-2002 directed the Environmental Allergen Research Laboratory, Division of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, at the University of South Florida College of Medicine. She is an accomplished researcher in the areas of allergen identification, allergen characterization, allergen avoidance measures and aerobiology.

Dr. Codina graduated with both a B.S. and M.S. from the University of Barcelona, Barcelona, Spain where she studied biology and zoology. In 1996, she received her Ph.D. from the University of Barcelona, with her doctoral thesis focused on aerobiology, allergen identification and serology. She completed her post-graduate work at the University of South Florida.
