QUEBEC - Premier Jean Charest says he'll wait for a report into the deadly overpass collapse that killed five people a year ago before giving his opinion on the tragedy.
The aunt of a nine-year-old boy who lost both his parents in the collapse in Laval last Sept. 30 is asking for an apology from the Quebec government on the boy's behalf.
Charest said in Quebec City Thursday he has a great deal of sympathy for the boy and wants him to get all the help he needs to deal with the loss of his parents.
But the premier says his Liberal government ordered an inquiry into the collapse to determine what happened and who is responsible and he will wait for the report before commenting.
