September 28, 2007
SPOKANE, Wash. – An inmate facing assault, gun and drug charges escaped from Geiger Corrections Center after being let out of a small building to get some fresh air during his Bible study, officials said.
Roger H. Nordling, 54, climbed to the roof of the building, leaped over a barbed-wire fence around the Spokane County complex and got into a car about 9:10 p.m. Thursday in an apparently prearranged getaway, jail Capt. John McGrath said.
