TOPIC: An annual report from the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention shows more than 44% of all Americans are taking at least one prescription drug, according to an article by The Associated Press. The report also says 16.5% of Americans take at least three prescription drugs. Prescription drug use has increased among all age groups. Experts say the increase is due to people trying to lower their cholesterol, reduce risk of heart disease, and for treating depression and diabetes.
