Fire Safety Show Starts Tuesday
The Elizabeth City Fire Department will host its four th annual Fire Safety Show from Tuesday to Friday at College of The Albemarle.
The Fire and Life Safety Production will begin at 9:30 a.m. daily. Family night will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday. The event is open to the public, but call ahead at (252) 338-3913 to make sure seats are still available for the morning productions .

Art Reception set for Wednesday
The Perquimans Arts League will hold a reception for its Artist of the Month show at the Albemarle Plantation clubhouse from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday.
Margi Wynn, a watercolor artist, and B.J. Elvgren, a quilt fabric artist, are featured. The show will continue through Nov. 1.
