WellCare to Continue Offering Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Plans to Illinois Medicare Recipients in 2008

WellCare Health Plans, Inc. (NYSE: WCG) today announced the results of its bid for participation in the national Medicare Part D prescription drug plan (PDP) in 2008. WellCare will continue offering Illinois Medicare beneficiaries two of its most popular plans. WellCare Signature and WellCare Classic both feature $0 generic drug co-pays and low premiums, as well as no premiums for individuals who are eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid.

As a result of a successful nationwide bid process, WellCare will continue offering its prescription drug plans in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. WellCare is one of the nation's largest Medicare Part D providers, with 971,000 members nationwide reported as of June 30, 2007.

The website includes information about the plans as well as a complete list of covered drugs and pharmacy network of 60,000 participating pharmacies.
