Thomson Healthcare and Children’s Hospitals Renew Agreement
ANN ARBOR, Mich., Oct. 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — Child Health Corporation of America (CHCA), an alliance of North America’s leading children’s hospitals, has renewed an agreement making Thomson Healthcare (NYSE: TOC; TSK: TOC), a preferred vendor of planning and marketing services for its members. The contract was originally signed in 2002; the renewal extends the agreement four years.
“Over the past five years, CHCA has found that Thomson Healthcare’s analytic tools provide insights and business intelligence our members need to make sound strategic decisions,” said Melinda McDonald, vice president of business services for CHCA. “Access to Thomson Healthcare methodologies and professional services help the nation’s leading pediatric facilities deliver the services children need most.”
The agreement encompasses Thomson Healthcare strategic planning tools for hospitals (Market Planner Plus(R) and Market Expert(R)) as well as a customer relationship marketing tool (crmView(TM)). In addition, the contract includes educational events and research projects. This year, for example, Thomson Healthcare will examine the long-term impact of pediatric obesity on the resources of CHCA members.
