BioRx, one of the nation's fastest growing providers of specialty pharmaceuticals, announces the creation of a new program to help individuals requiring home intravenous nutrition and tube feeding. Their program, called Full Circle™, has been established to provide financial support to the Oley Foundation, a non-profit organization based at Albany Medical Center In New York, which is dedicated to enhancing the lives of those who require home infused (parenteral) and tube feeding (enteral). The Foundation offers programs that educate members about the therapy that sustains them, provides outreach and networking opportunities that remove isolation and create a sense of normalcy - motivating members to play an active role in decisions being made the Foundation.
As a Golden Medallion Partner, BioRx's NutriThrive division has committed to providing a base level contribution to the Oley Foundation annually. Additionally, NutriThrive will contribute $1 for every day of Parenteral Nutrition and $1 for every course of Enteral (feeding tube) Nutrition that the company dispenses to any patient nationwide, who is being treated for a nutritional deficiency.
"We believe in the services that Oley provides for patients every day, and feel strongly about supporting the Home Pen community through this organization," says Eric Hill, Vice President and co-founder of BioRx. "We hope that this commitment will help enhance the treatment of nutritional deficiencies, improve access to state of the art medical care, and expand scientific and medical research on such diseases."
According to Joan Bishop, Executive Director of the Oley Foundation, "Research has demonstrated that people connected to the Oley Foundation have less incidence of depression, better quality of life and fewer catheter related blood stream infections. This is powerful data and the support from industry is key to the survival of these very important efforts. The Oley Foundation welcomes NutriThrive to our corporate donor program and look forward to "partnering" with them to strengthen the programs that benefit so many!"

About The Oley Foundation
Founded in 1983 by Lyn Howard, MD, and her patient Clarence "Oley" Oldenburg, the Oley Foundation provides information and support to individuals dependent upon home parenteral and enteral nutrition (homePEN), helping them live fuller, richer lives. Digestive disorders, ranging from cancer to Crohn's disease, prevent these consumers from sustaining themselves through normal eating, making long-term home intravenous or tube-fed nutrition necessary for survival. The organization offers its 6,000+ members critical information on such topics as research, health insurance and medical advances. The Foundation is also a source of support in overcoming the unique psycho-social challenges facing consumers of these therapies, for example, the inability to eat, an altered body image, and the ups and downs of chronic illness.
Ongoing support comes from homePEN families, their friends, clinicians and corporations. All Oley programs and services are free of charge to homePEN consumers and their families.
