JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Oct. 12 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — When Golden Corral Restaurants agreed to become corporate partners with five community and health organizations to help Duval and Clay County residents get the flu shot, not the flu, it was business as usual, as far as Golden Corral was concerned. Golden Corral has always believed in the importance of giving back, says Golden Corral Regional Manager Ian Worthington. On the corporate level, we give to over 26 national organizations including Boy Scouts of America, the Breast Cancer Society, the American Red Cross, the United Negro College Fund, Meals on Wheels and the Salvation Army, to name a few. This spirit of giving is a driving force in each Golden Corral restaurant, according to Worthington. Being part of our communities and giving back is the way we do business.
Starting in 2005, Golden Corral restaurants on Normandy Boulevard, Merrill Road, Southside Boulevard, Beach Boulevard and San Jose Boulevard hosted flu clinics reaching more than 2500 Jacksonville residents. This year, Orange Parks Golden Corral restaurant on Blanding Boulevard will be joining the ranks to provide area seniors, aged 65 and older, with flu shots. The restaurants will open their doors at 9:00 am and store managers will welcome members of the community for flu shots in the comfortable surroundings of their friendly restaurants, says Worthington, We make it easier than ever to be protected from the flu and we also provide free Golden Bucks and buy-one/get-one-free Early Bird Special coupons as a thank you to flu shot participants.
Flu shot clinics will be held the week of October 22 – 26, at the following Golden Corral Restaurants:
Monday, October 22: 7043 Normandy Boulevard, 32205 9:00 am – 1:00 pm
