India, Poland plan pact on health, medicine

NEW DELHI, Oct. 11 (Xinhua) — India and Poland will enter intoan agreement on family planning, hospital management and public health, a government statement said Thursday.

India’s federal cabinet gave its approval for signing the agreement, the statement said, adding that it would cover more than a dozen areas of health and medicine.

The proposed pact, India said, would enable cooperation betweenthe two countries on the basis of equality, reciprocity and mutualbenefit.

It will also involve cooperation in mother and child health, nursing, communicable diseases, medicine research, medical devicesand products and in traditional medicine, the government added.
