Free CME-Certified Webcast: Making Your Case: Up-to-Date Answers for Developing Trends in PCI

WASHINGTON, Oct. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Interventional cardiologists operate in an environment of great flux, and as such face many challenges in the provision of optimal patient care. New devices, continuing debate over the use of drug-eluting versus bare metal stents, and evolving procedures involved in peripheral intervention are among these changes. Further, recently released ACC/AHA guidelines for the management of UA/NSTEMI patients, and soon-to-be released guidelines for the management of STEMI patients, issue revised recommendations concerning adjuvant pharmacotherapy for percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) that will greatly impact clinical practice.
The free CME-certified Web cast, Making Your Case: Up-to-date Answers for Developing Trends in PCI aims to bridge the gap between evidence and patient care by assisting interventional cardiologists in translating guidelines into practice. The most recent evidence-based approaches for acute coronary syndrome (ACS) management will be presented by cardiology experts: C. Michael Gibson, MD; Ehtisham Mahmud, MD; Eric Peterson, MD, MPH; and Steven Steinhubl, MD. An interactive case-based discussion will follow and will highlight real world challenges and how to approach them.
