Four Hurt As Cars Crash

FOUR people were taken to hospital after two cars crashed in Wombourne.

A baby passenger, snugly strapped into to a car seat, was rescued from the crash unharmed.

Four paramedic crews and the air ambulance were called to the scene on Bridgnorth Road, near the junction with Poolhouse Road, at 3.30pm yesterday.

The baby’s mother was trapped with suspected spinal injuries and was cut free and airlifted to Selly Oak Hospital.

Another woman from the same vehicle was taken by land ambulance to Russells Hall Hospital, Dudley, with minor injuries.

Two people from the other car, described as walking wounded, were also taken to Russells Hall Hospital with minor i njuries.
