Association for the Advancement of Wound Care Launches State-of-the-Art Website with Resources for Healthcare Professionals, Patients and Caregivers
MALVERN, Pa., Sept. 16, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — The Association for the Advancement of Wound Care (AAWC) announces the launch of its redesigned, state-of-the-art website, www.aawconline.org. The new website is easy to maneuver and streamlined in design, providing wound care education and other healthcare resources all in one location.
As part of AAWC’s continued dedication to serving its members and the community, online viewers of www.aawconline.org will enjoy a wealth of information, alerts and news, as well as two resource centers – one for healthcare professionals and one for patients and their caregivers. There is also a private area for members only, which includes a wealth of financial and other benefits. Fostering AAWC’s commitment to excellence in wound care, its new website provides a comprehensive body of information and resources, which spans care settings, disciplines, practices, and types of wounds.
A public announcement regarding a unique feature of the AAWC website will be made at the 2011 Fall Symposium on Advanced Wound Care (SAWC) October 13-15 in Las Vegas, Nevada, at which time this new feature will be launched online.
The public is invited to view the site and explore all of its offerings. While AAWC is a membership organization comprised of many types of healthcare providers and other professionals in the wound care field, those from the public who support AAWC’s cause are invited to join free as a patient, lay-caregiver or advocate/supporter. Showing support helps influence best practice in wound care delivery and governmental support.
An AAWC website team has been created and is comprised of leaders in the field of wound care, who volunteer their service.
