The mission statement of the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain (AACP), located in Reston, VA, states Ã¢Å“The American Academy of Craniofacial Pain is committed to the relief of craniofacial pain and dysfunction, and the advancement of research and study in this field.Ã¢ Because of the relationship between the temporo-mandibular joint and sleep-breathing problems, the Academy has included education is dental sleep medicine for its members.
For more than 40 years Dr. Cherin has provided care and treatment for patients suffering from TMJ problems and craniofacial problems. Additionally, for more than 20 years, he has had a special interest in those patients suffering from snoring, sleep apnea and sleep-disordered breathing.
