Rehabmart.com, an online e-commerce company that sells rehabilitation and medical supplies, has combined forces with MagEyes, an innovative manufacturer of magnifying vision products, to help introduce these vision saving products to a wider consumer base. Mary Frances Sherlock, inventor and Founder of MagEyes, created her company in 1992 after using some expensive medical magnifiers that her dentist had given her to try. She found that these magnifying glasses helped her tremendously with craft work, close precision work and reading. After being hounded by other people on where she got these awesome glasses, she decided to invent and patent her own much more affordable version.

By 1995, MagEyes had become a product finalist for the Product Excellence Award sponsored by PJS Publications and Craft Trends magazine, and by 1997, MagEyes had sold by the thousands. This company has continued to grow by leaps and bounds ever since, and has added new versions and products along the way. Ms. Sherlock had also suffered with polio when she was 12 and had to learn to walk all over again. As an adult, she learned how to get around in a motorized wheelchair and drive a special equipped van, so she is no stranger to living a life that includes some disabilities. MagEyes are not only used and appreciated by craftspeople, but are also perfect for people who suffer from low vision issues and disabilities.

“We are proud to offer the MagEyes products to our customers.” said Hulet Smith, Founder and CEO of Rehabmart. “The MagEyes units are feather-light, easy to travel with, very comfortable and they feature easily interchangeable lenses that help bring your reading or work much closer into focus than regular ‘drugstore’ magnifying glasses. We are happy to be able to introduce this remarkable invention to our customers and we know that they will be very pleased with this product.”

Some of the MagEyes uses and applications include fly tying, manicures, jewelry making, quilting, needlepoint, hand sewing, model building, miniature painting, coin/stamp collecting and reading enhancement for maps, the stock market, directories, schematics, medicine bottle labels and contract fine print. All MagEyes products are completely manufactured and assembled in the USA.
