Invuity Launches Advanced Visualization System for Spinal Surgeries
SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 7, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — Invuity, a leading developer of state-of-the-art surgical visualization technology, today debuted its illuminated Eigr(TM) Taylor Retractor System at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Annual Meeting (Feb. 7-10) at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. Invuity’s advanced technology provides surgeons with unparalleled access and visualization.

The Eigr(TM) Taylor Retractor System is designed to enhance visualization and tissue retraction during spinal surgery, including posterior lumbar discectomy and decompression procedures. At least 600,000 Americans have spinal surgery every year. Invuity’s system integrates the company’s proprietary Eigr(TM) (pronounced eye-gr) illumination technology into optimized Taylor retractors, making the anatomy appear brighter and sharper while remaining thermally cool. The system includes six retractors in multiple sizes for varying patient anatomies.
