Local Chicagoland Entrepreneurs Enter “Idol”-Style Contest to Get on the Shelf at Walmart
CHICAGO, March 12, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ — iLowerBP is excited to be one of the local entrepreneurs in the Chicagoland area to make it into the “Get on the Shelf” contest held by retail behemoth, Walmart. The products will be voted on by the public and three winners will have their products sold on Walmart.com, with the grand prize winner also getting shelf space in select stores.
iLowerBP is campaigning parallel to the primaries in an effort to keep iLowerBP in the running for the contest, and the chance to get their product on the shelves at Walmart stores. “We have been shaking hands and kissing babies in order to help raise awareness about high blood pressure and get our product on the shelf at Walmart.” teased, iLowerBP President Jeremy Lessaris. “We are excited to finally showcase what we have poured our hearts and souls into, and if nothing else we are able to help raise awareness about high blood pressure to the masses.” The executive team at iLowerBP includes Jeremy and Stephanie Lessaris and Clyde and Paige Passman, who have extensive experience in the fields of Healthcare, Information Technology, Marketing and Engineering.
iLowerBP is a unique fitness program that combines a breathing and hand grip exercise with audio and visual therapies, all designed to lower blood pressure naturally in just 12 minutes a day. The high-definition instructional video offers a selection of therapeutic visual scenes and complimentary sounds to relax and soothe while performing the daily exercise. The complete iLowerBP package includes; High Blood Pressure For Dummies by best-selling author Dr. Alan L. Rubin, MD, specially calibrated tension devices and a convenient at-home blood pressure monitor to record your results. iLowerBP’s website http://www.ilowerbp.com gives users a chance to ask a staff physician about heart health questions and provides online tools to log, journal and chart your blood pressure.
“We know there are some great undiscovered products that have not yet reached our shelves,” Venky Harinarayan, senior vice president of Walmart Global e-commerce, said in a press release. “For a long time, the ability to get a product into a retail store was at the sole discretion of the store buyer. Today, we are removing these barriers by giving anyone a chance to launch their product at Walmart and reach millions of shoppers nationwide.”
Walmart accepted submissions until Feb. 22 and online voting began on March 7th and ends in April. Help iLowerBP raise awareness about High Blood Pressure and vote to help get iLowerBP on the shelf:
