Dr. Sam Speron Reveals A Growing Trend In Smaller Breast Implants!

There has been a notable growing trend within cosmetic breast enhancement procedures recently, and that is smaller breast implants. In the past, larger and more noticeable breast implants were undoubtedly widely popular and consistently represented in the media. However, women are now opting for smaller and more conservative natural-looking breast implants. Women who have previously had larger implants put in are also switching them out for smaller sizes.

There are numerous benefits to having smaller implants as opposed to larger ones. Aesthetically, smaller implants look more natural and give a slimmer appearance. It is also easier to do physical activities and exercise with smaller implants. Many women with larger implants complain of back pain and having trouble participating in any sort of an active life. Women with smaller implants also find that they have an easier time fitting into clothes, bras, and swimsuits.

“There are a lot more women who are opting for smaller breast implants than people would think” says Dr. Sam Speron, Chicago breast plastic surgeon and consumer advocate. “The truth in my practice is that most patients are choosing between 200-300CC sized implants, not the much larger implants that the media would lead you to believe.”

Dr. Speron is the founder and medical director of Dr. Speron Plastic Surgery, SC. He is board certified with the American Board of Plastic Surgery and an active member of both the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ASAPS).
