Building on Advocate Health Care´s reputation as one of the nation´s top health systems, four of its hospitals have earned ACS MIDAS+ Platinum Quality Awards, which recognize excellence in clinical healthcare.

Advocate Christ Medical Center, Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital, Advocate Lutheran General Hospital and Advocate South Suburban Hospital were ranked in the top 5 percent of more than 650 hospitals evaluated by ACS MIDAS+. Advocate Christ and Advocate Good Samaritan were awarded for the 5th year in a row.

The hospitals were assessed for their 2011 performance in quality outcomes, care efficiency and consistent delivery of evidence-based best practices in nursing and medicine. The awards were given at the annual MIDAS+ Symposium in Tucson, Arizona.

“This honor is a reflection of the dedication of our physicians, nurses and associates to deliver the best health outcomes for the patients we are privileged to serve,” said Lee Sacks, MD, executive vice president and chief medical officer, Advocate Health Care. “That commitment is a core value of Advocate´s healing ministry.”

ACS MIDAS+. Is one of the nation`s largest vendors for the National Hospital Quality Improvement Measures. The organization collects and submits quality measurements to The Joint Commission and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
