As part of their 2012 Giveaway, AED.com has donated two Powerheart G3 automated external defibrillators, manufactured by one of the global AED leaders, Cardiac Science Corporation.

Holy Redeemer Catholic School, with an enrollment of over 500 K-8 students, is proud to receive their new life-saving Powerheart G3 AEDs. In a letter to AED.com, they wrote: “Holy Redeemer Catholic School family and staff are truly grateful for the gift of these lifesaving devices. The entire staff of Holy Redeemer is trained in CPR and in the use of the AED. The students are given instruction during health class about location of AEDs in the building and purpose of their use. Thanks to AED.com for their generous donation and for the insurance in the safety of Holy Redeemer community.”

The value of onsite AEDs is still overlooked by many facilities. Solely relying on CPR until EMS arrives could be a life-threatening mistake. AED.com hopes its yearlong AED giveaway will find areas that would otherwise be unable to access an AED. “We are so happy to continue making facilities safer with the implementation of AEDs,” said Justin Darby, Director of Marketing. “Pushing to implement AEDs in the facility where you work is about the smartest decision you can make, and we applaud Holy Redeemer for their efforts.” Holy Redeemer Catholic School is now a safer place with the new Poweheart G3 AEDs and student, staff, and faculty can now enjoy being prepared for the unthinkable.

AED.com is a Brentwood, TN-based distributor of AEDs, manual defibrillators and other cardiac equipment. Founded in 1999 by Matthew and Julie Spencer, AED.com has grown to operate in all 50 states and several countries internationally.
