The George Jarkesy Show welcomes “Gunny” Nick Popdaditch, United States Marine Corps Veteran, Silver Star Winner and U.S. 53rd District Congressional Candidate

Houston, TX (PRWEB) June 07, 2012

On June 4, 2012 The George Jarkesy Show welcomed “Gunny” Nick Popdaditch – Marine Corps Veteran, winner of the Silver Star for Valor, author, and congressional candidate for the 53rd district of California. Jarkesy began by asking Popaditch about his experience in the Marine Corps. The retired Gunnery Sergeant reflected on the “reaffirming” experience of being seriously injured on the battle field and the “great individuals“¦that saved his life.” He moves to discussing his book ℠Once a Marine´ which stands as a “thank you to all those individuals who took [him] from bleeding to death“¦to where [he] is today.” He hopes that the book will also show “Americans that when life shows you a little bit of bad luck, how to turn it into a good thing.”

Jarkesy then asked Popadtich about the progress of his campaign for the Congressional seat and his motives behind deciding to run for election. Popadtich replied that while his was in Baghdad he was inspired by “watching people fight and die for liberty [and] for the most basic freedom that we have.” He also stated that he “wasn´t too happy with how our government was safeguarding the prosperity.” The campaign is doing well due to the fact that supporters “know they can believe the words that are coming out of [his] mouth”, because Popaditch “understands service to the nation” and lastly he is “somebody who doesn´t think he´s smarter than the people he represents.”
