Denver School Of Nursing Receives Accreditation Renewal From Accrediting Commission Of Career Schools And Colleges
DENVER, June 25, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — Denver School of Nursing (DSN) has received a five-year renewal of its accreditation from the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges. The Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) is a recognized accrediting agency by the U.S. Department of Education.
Denver School of Nursing President Dr. Marcia Bankirer explained the ACCSC’s institutional accreditation applies to both the school’s Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) programs.
“Our successes are a direct result of the input and participation from our students, faculty, staff, community partners and clinical sites,” Dr. Bankirer said. “We consistently receive positive feedback regarding the skills and professionalism of DSN students and our previous graduates have been placed in entry-level nursing positions at a rate well above minimum ACCSC accreditation requirements.”
As a leading nursing education provider, Denver School of Nursing creates a strong learning environment for students who will become tomorrow’s nurses. According to Dr. Bankirer, DSN enjoys a commendable completion rate with a significant majority of students who begin a nursing program completing their studies within pre-determined timeframes.
The school’s solid reputation also is reflected in its pass rates for the NCLEX (National Council Licensure Exam), the examination for licensing nurses in the U.S. Review the DSN NCLEX pass rates to learn how they compare to programs at other schools, including major universities, at www.denverschoolofnursing.edu.
Denver School of Nursing is affiliated with the Fortis network of nursing campuses, which encompasses more than 5,000 students, in excess of 500 nursing faculty members, and 38 nursing programs across 13 states. One of the largest nursing education providers in the U.S., Fortis has received international recognition for its leadership in using simulation technology to educate nursing students.
