It also employs Soft Start/Stop technology – a feature that causes the lift to start and stop in a slow, gradual manner as opposed to sudden jerky movements that are common to models with AC motors. The batteries are included and come preinstalled on the Brooks Stairlift. There is no need to remove the batteries to recharge them, as they are charged automatically when the stairlift is resting at the top or bottom of the stairs.
A host of other features are included with the Brooks model, such as, a keyed on/off switch with keys included, wireless remote controls to call or send the unit, and user-friendly dual paddle controls on the armrests.
