Coast2Coast Rx Debuts Redesigned Discount Prescription Cards

July 10, 2012

Colorful, bilingual cards highlight program´s commitment to customer service and improving the consumers´ experience

Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. (PRWEB) July 10, 2012

The providers of the Coast2Coast Rx card, a free prescription discount program, announced today that redesigned, user-friendly cards are the latest in a series of cosmetic and practical enhancements to the company´s materials. Already a comprehensive provider of prescription discounts, Coast2Coast Rx elected to further develop its customer outreach with changes to its website and online presence. Recent upgrades to design and functionality, intended to improve users´ experience, include a streamlined appearance, links to Facebook and Twitter profiles, and a healthcare blog. Colorful, bilingual cards printed on durable, glossy stock highlight the series of improvements.

The free Coast2Coast Rx card provides discounts on over 60,000 brand name and generic prescription drugs, with an average nationwide savings of 55 percent and in some cases, savings of up to 75 percent. The dramatic savings is just the beginning–each participating municipality receives $1.25 for public programs each time the card is used to fill a prescription, setting this discount program apart from the rest. Consumers who use the card are effectively helping to reinvest in their community while saving money on their prescription drug costs. For these reasons, elected officials of cities, counties and townships nationwide have vetted and approved the no-cost program.

“Improving health outcomes is the core mission of Coast2Coast Rx, and to do this, it is critical to reach as many consumers as possible,” said Chief Marketing Officer Marty Dettelbach of Financial Marketing Concepts, Inc., the company that provides the discount prescription card. “By making these updates and embarking on a social media campaign that connects users to the benefits of the program and the endorsements of civic leaders, we are able to spread the knowledge of this important resource.”

To further increase awareness and use of the card, Coast2Coast Rx has developed outreach efforts to public departments and local nonprofit agencies. Organizations and agencies providing social services to underserved populations are encouraged to distribute the card to their constituents as a money-saving resource. The cards are available for public events such as health fairs, while posters and display stands make it easy to have the cards available at a reception desk or with other take-away materials. Organizations and consumers are encouraged to add Coast2Coast Rx to their social network on Facebook and Twitter for updates and health care news.

Offered at no cost and with no eligibility restrictions or membership requirements, individuals and families can save by simply presenting the card when filling prescriptions at one of the 59,000 pharmacies nationwide accepting the card, including major chains and many independent establishments. Through a partner program, discounts are also available on dental, vision and hearing, lab and imaging services. Diabetes supplies at reduced prices recently became available, and even some pet prescriptions; making the Coast2Coast Rx card a comprehensive program with a range of applications.

For consumers managing the expense of needed prescriptions without the safety net of insurance, or who face insufficient coverage or high deductibles under a current plan, the card can be a significant cost-saver and in some cases the card can even help offset the costs of the Medicare Part D “donut hole.”
