Milwaukee WI (PRWEB) July 20, 2012
Six months since its initial release, Molecular Therapy — Nucleic Acids is now indexed within the National Institute of Health´s digital article archive, PubMed Central. The database hosts nearly two million complete text articles focusing on life and biomedical sciences. With this inclusion, the online journal can expand its open access platform to a much broader audience due to the searchable format available to PMC affiliates.
Molecular Therapy — Nucleic Acids was selected after meeting the publication standards set forth by PMC, following the National Institute of Health´s initial selection guidelines. Following this acceptance, MTNA will be considered among the over 1,000 other full participation journals within PMC´s offering.
“As the first Editor in Chief of this new ASGCT journal, I am very pleased and excited to have obtained PubMed Central recognition so quickly. This attests to the strength of the society and the need for such an open access journal focusing on nucleic acids as therapeutics. I look forward to the growth of MTNA and also other new planned open access publication,” said Editor-In-Chief, Dr. John Rossi, PhD.
Molecular Therapy — Nucleic Acids is just one of the developing journals in the Molecular Therapy series as result of the collaboration between the American Society of Gene & Cell Therapy and Nature Publishing Group.
