The new position of Vice President of External Relations was created as part of the Academy’s realignment plan that was approved by the AMCP Board of Directors in February 2012. Among other things, the realignment aims to create a closer working relationship between AMCP and the Foundation for Managed Care Pharmacy. The other new Vice President positions created under the plan are:
- VP of Government Affairs, which includes oversight of regulatory affairs, legislative affairs, policy and grassroots advocacy;
- VP of Finance, which includes oversight of accounting and office management; and
- VP of Human Resources, which includes oversight of information technology infrastructure.
“The Academy must remain nimble to meet the needs of our members in a rapidly changing economic environment,” Rosato said. “Our new organizational structure will ensure that AMCP is well positioned to succeed in today’s dynamic health care marketplace.”
