September 25, 2012

Two medical teams – San Luis Sports Therapy and Noor Foundation – partner to provide accessible rehabilitation.

San Luis Obispo, CA (PRWEB) September 25, 2012

San Luis Sports Therapy is grateful for the opportunity to work with the Noor Foundation to provide free physical therapy services to uninsured people living in San Luis Obispo county. “Working with the Noor Foundation is a very rewarding experience for our team,” says Kelly Sanders, President of San Luis Sports Therapy. “We have the opportunity to serve a population that otherwise would not receive rehabilitative care. This care is integral in helping people maintain their ability to work and complete necessary daily activities.”

The SLO Noor Foundation, founded and led by Dr. Ahmad Nooristani, has been providing high quality free healthcare to uninsured people in our community since December of 2009. The Noor Clinic, on Phillips Lane in San Luis Obispo, provides various medical services to SLO County residents regardless of their race, ethnicity, religion, immigration or socioeconomic status. The team of volunteers including physicians, nurses, and pharmacists believe in the Noor Foundation´s mission that no one should go without health care. Noor Clinic patients are treated at their Phillips Lane location on Fridays and Saturdays from 1:00pm — 5:00pm.

San Luis Sports Therapy, with eight central coast locations, has opened its doors to qualified Noor Foundation patients during regular business hours Monday thru Friday at all of its locations. Overflow patients are still seen at the Phillips Lane clinic. The physical therapists at San Luis Sports Therapy specialize in human movement. They work closely with their patients to restore, maintain, and enhance their mobility and movement. This team of physical therapists understands that pain or limited movement can cause an interruption in day to day activities and work hard to rehabilitate their patients and help them excel.

Community involvement has always been a priority to the San Luis Sports Therapy team, who fundraises and donates to many local charities annually. Partnering with the Noor Foundation has really allowed for a greater synergy between two companies that greatly prioritize accessible healthcare.
