Take Charge. Think Pink.® with Zeta Tau Alpha
INDIANAPOLIS, Oct. 11, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — As part of its national philanthropy, breast cancer education and awareness, the ZTA Foundation launched www.takechargethinkpink.com in September 2012 to help women take proactive steps in maintaining their health. The new website was designed to offer the opportunity for women of all ages to sign up for monthly breast health email reminders as well as an annual mammogram or clinical breast exam reminder. The website not only offers email reminders, it also shares resources on current women’s health topics and research from ZTA’s partners in breast health awareness. Each email will include a friendly reminder as well as a feature on women’s health tips, research, and other stories and facts about breast health.
“We are proud and excited to be introducing a new way for women to be aware of their breast health,” said Becky Kirwan, Zeta Tau Alpha Foundation president, “Women across the country have been touched by ZTA’s outreach efforts and this provides the opportunity to expand the message to a broader audience.”
Since 1992, Zeta Tau Alpha Fraternity has focused its philanthropic efforts on breast cancer education and awareness. Each year, millions of pink ribbons are distributed and thousands of survivors are honored through ZTA programs. This program is a complement to ZTA’s pink ribbon distribution, partnership with the National Football League and involvement with Race for the Cure®. The new Take Charge. Think Pink.® tagline will appear on Zeta Tau Alpha Foundation materials such as banners and cards distributed at hundreds of annual ZTA Think Pink(®) events. ZTA is hoping to get entire campuses and communities involved by working with health centers, gyms and organizations to remind all women about the importance of breast health.
