EHE International Hosts 10th Annual Red Dress Photo Shoot to Promote Heart Health for Women
NEW YORK, Oct. 22, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — EHE International, the nationally recognized leader in preventive healthcare and annual physical exams for nearly 100 years, announced today that its 10(th) annual Red Dress photo shoot will take place on October 24 at 5:00 pm at the “Rhythms of Infinity” wall in 30 Rockefeller Center. Media is invited to attend the event.
“It is with great pride that EHE International announces the details of its 10(th) annual Red Dress photo shoot in continuation of its effort to raise awareness for heart disease in women,” said Deborah McKeever, president of EHE International.
“Far too many women believe that their greatest health risk is breast cancer when, in fact, one in three women will die of heart disease vs. one in 30 deaths from breast cancer every year. Heart disease is the number one killer of women, claiming nearly eight times as many lives as breast cancer, yet too many women go without potentially life-saving cardiovascular tests for the early detection.”
Twenty-nine EHE International women will participate in this year’s Red Dress photo shoot. Making a dramatic visual statement in the heart of New York, each lady will be adorned in a beautiful red evening gown that symbolizes the importance of maintaining a healthy heart. All twenty-nine ladies are official EHE ambassadors who understand their own personal risks for heart disease — a chronic disease — and the importance of annual examinations complemented by age and health appropriate screening tests and education. EHE is the only company in the United States to offer this comprehensive service to its staff.
A window display featuring the official 2013 EHE International Red Dress photograph and other National Wear Red Day features will be located at 10 Rockefeller Center in New York City throughout the month of February. More than 100,000 people pass by the window each month.
February 1(st) is designated as National Wear Red Day®. The day promotes wearing red as a symbol, and provides an opportunity for everyone to unite in a life-saving awareness movement by wearing red.
