iMoney.my Launches the Bahasa Malaysia Version of Their Credit Card, Loan and Investment Comparison Site Today

December 21, 2012

iMoney.my today announced the launch of the Malay version of their popular financial comparison site. Finally, the usually under-served Bahasa Malaysia-speaking market is now empowered to compare the most lucrative credit card, loan and investment deals in their native tongue.

Kuala Lumpur, Kuala Lumpur (PRWEB) December 20, 2012

iMoney.my today announced the launch of the Malay version of their popular financial comparison site, featuring Malay financial categories like kad kredit, pinjaman peribadi and pinjaman rumah, tapping into the vast ethnic Malay market.

“The Malay language financial comparison market is woefully under-served,” says Lee Ching Wei, founder of iMoney.my. “To date, there hasn’t been a website that has faithfully displayed such a vast array of financial offerings so that our Malay consumers can also enjoy the chance to save money by strategically taking advantage of the best rates. It’s the first of its kind.”

To create the bilingual version of the site, Lee spared no expense in hiring reputable translation talent to faithfully translate the vast article repository and hundreds of listings word-for-word. As a result, a new market can now enjoy iMoney.my’s famous educational articles and transparent credit card, personal loan or insurance listings in their mother tongue.

In addition, the translation also include sections like:

  • Analyse – Finding out top reviews and analysis performed by the iMoney Research Team.
  • Learn – Discovering a wealth of articles and learn more about personal finance, so that one can become a smarter consumer today.
  • Visualise – Explore a new way of acquiring financial information, so that it doesn’t have to be boring.

Lee adds, “We received a flood of email from the Malay market that told us that even though they thoroughly enjoyed our how-to and comparison content, they couldn’t comprehend some of the complex financial terminology in English. Therefore, we thought that by translating the content, iMoney.my will be able to serve this market far better.”

Within the next quarter, this target market will soon be able to enjoy iMoney.my’s infographics and viral sensations in the native tongue as well. Boasting social media sharing far into the 4 digits, these popular infographic graphics include a graphical overview of the Malaysian budget, the intriguing mechanisms behind how credit card works, and the surprising truth behind credit card spending in Malaysia.

“iMoney.my aims to bring savvy financial education to anyone and everyone,” concludes Ching. “And we believe the best way is to contextualize sound financial management advice into something even a person with no formal accounting training can grasp.”

Ching Lee is a CFA charterholder and is a former investment consultant and wealth advisor. He is the founder of iMoney and a trusted authority on personal finance and investments.

About iMoney:

Everyday, millions of Malaysians fall victim to the complexities of the finance industry. Some experience pain and hardship when choosing or buying financial products; others make uninformed decisions that they regret for the rest of their lives.

It´s easy to blame the banks — after all, banks typically profit at the expense of consumers. While at times this is true, the reality is that there are banks that do look out for their customers and offer decent products. With over 200 credit cards, 300 savings, 500 loan and thousands of investment products available in the market, the trouble for consumers is in identifying the gems among the rubble.

This is why we exist.

At iMoney, we don´t just compare financial products.

We make it our mission to help you pick financial products that best suit your needs.

Our goal is to help every Malaysian save money and save time, and in the process, become a smarter consumer.
