On December 8, 2011 the New York Times wrote, “An advisory committee to the Food and Drug Administration said labels on the popular birth control pills Yaz and Yasmin should be strengthened to include more information about the possibility that the pills could lead to greater risk of blood clots in women.”

According to the September 17th 2009 edition of the New York Times, “The FDA released a warning letter to Bayer Pharmaceuticals over Yaz & Yasmin. The FDA letter was very critical of the drug maker for failing to highlight the risk factors associated with these birth control pills.” http://www.johnsonlawgroup.com/
